Safety Culture

Our Culture

Our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) Department proactively supports our project teams and the wider business.

Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff is, and always has been, our priority; and we have introduced a number of initiatives (recognised across the industry) to ensure we continually review and improve our methods of working.

As a business, we recognise our role in minimising the environmental impact of our operations, and in 2020, we become the first UK contractor to commit to the One Planet Pledge to become Net Carbon Zero by 2040, setting-out how to achieve this within our Corporate Social & Sustainability Plan.

External Validation

Our Management Systems are certified with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, the accreditations for Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety, respectively.

Since 2016, we have received a RoSPA Award annually for our health & safety performance; with a Gold Award for overall performance achieved for the last 5 successive years.

We take pride in improving the image of construction, and support the Considerate Constructors Scheme – of which we have been a Partner since 2017.

Our response to COVID-19 has been recognised within the industry. As a business, we took a proactive approach to implementing specific changes to reduce the risk of COVID-19, ensuring we safeguarded everyone associated with our operations.
