This project for Boultbee Brooks entailed the CAT A refurbishment of the existing office block which totals 34,000ft2. Internal works included new kitchen and WC cubicle installations alongside feature tiled walls, plasterboard and suspended ceiling systems, glazed partitioning system, and floor coverings. We also refurbished full height panelling to the main reception and installed new feature lighting to provide a modern contemporary finish.
Work commenced in October 2016, when numerous M&E design issues came to light following the removal of the existing equipment. This necessitated a re-design when the client also decided to omit the ceilings and have all the services exposed. Our original programme was adjusted to suit, whilst ensuring the same completion date was met.
As part of the refurbishment, the functionality of the air conditioning to the second floor was improved, changing from an under floor design to an overhead VRF system with individual AHUs at each end.
