Hangar 125, London Luton Airport

This contract entailed the refurbishment of offices and maintenance areas of the hangar together with works to the hangar doors. The new facility is occupied by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, the global leader of the business jet-aircraft industry.

The project was on a tight 9 week schedule. All Jarvis staff had to be security checked because they would be working ‘airside’.

The refurbished site incorporates 75,000ft² of hanger space and offices and is the main maintenance, repair and operations hub (MRO) in Europe for the US business jet manufacturer. The new accommodation incorporates offices for Gulfstream’s 170-plus employees, as well as 6 secluded customer offices and a lounge which allows customers to relax while waiting for their aircraft to be serviced and maintained. New lighting was installed together with a new sprinkler system.
