The Taylor Street scheme is vital to providing additional housing to meet Luton’s housing needs, as part of the latest Local Plan 2011-2031. Foxhall Homes Ltd (wholly owned by Luton Council) will be providing a high quality development, with 28% affordable units and 72% for private sale houses.
Prior to construction, the existing brownfield site will be subject to ground remediation following-on from its industrial use, and more recently as a car park.
Upon completion, this residential scheme will provide 32no, 4 bedroom town houses within 4 blocks, undercroft parking and detached garages, along with associated external works and infrastructure including the reinstatement old Windmill Street through the centre of the scheme.
