Situated in a semi-rural location, this private development provides 88 new dwellings consisting of 12no, 2 bedroom apartments and 76no, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses, set in an environment of extensive and thoughtfully planned landscaping.

This contract was delivered over 5 phases, with the existing school being partly demolished to enable access for building the final phase. The properties were built using traditional materials including brick, render and plank facades, and pitched roofs with interlocking concrete profiled tiles. Close liaison with the live school was maintained to ensure their needs were incorporated when producing and updating the traffic management plan - avoiding peak times for access, deliveries etc.
A major consideration for site logistics was working over a 533mm water main which ran the length of the site, the solution for which was a temporary bridge being erected to enable the movement of heavy plant and machinery. There was also a 600mm foul sewer diversion to the east of the site, which meant piling several of the plots, and a 4.5m high acoustic fence was installed along the full length of the site to the eastern perimeter road/A10.
