Awarded following the completion of Magenta Court in Apsley, we’re working with Dacorum Borough Council to deliver their scheme at Eastwick Row, Hemel Hempstead. The project has been designed to complement the two existing 1960s tower buildings, with a modern 7 storey structure of 34no, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, some of which will be wheelchair accessible.
The existing blocks have already been re-clad as part of the project, and a new car park is to be formed to the rear, along with a community open space. The development will be heavily landscaped and include a significant number of trees set in the grassland, providing a natural screen to the development from the neighbouring carriageway.
As part of the community consultation for the development, the residents highlighted their concerns about traffic movements within the tight residential area. To mitigate this, a haul road is being formed into the site from the main entrance road, keeping traffic away from the nearby residents and school.
