Emma, a 4th generation member of the Jarvis family, is the daughter of the late president of Jarvis Group, Lord Parkinson, and granddaughter of the late Tony Jarvis who led the company for four decades following the Second World War.

A graduate of Queens College, Cambridge, Emma started her career in investment banking with Charterhouse, before moving into fund management with Touche Remnant (now Henderson) and then investment analysis at Polar Capital, which she joined at launch (Polar now has a market capitalisation of £320 million).

Emma has over 20 years’ experience in understanding the needs of investors in companies and will help shape the future direction of the Jarvis Group and lead the company’s senior management board. She has been a Non-Executive Director of Jarvis since 2005.

Emma Parkinson took over as Chairman on 1st May 2016.
