This £19m contract was to design & build 88 new dwellings in Cheshunt for developer Prime Place.
Situated in a semi rural location, once complete this private development of 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3 & 4 bedroom houses will offer an environment of extensive and thoughtfully planned landscaping situated next to Cheshunt School. The development, within this very desirable commuter belt, is being built on land formally owned by the school.
Proceeds raised from the housing will be used to fund significant improvements to the school, including a new technology block to provide new classrooms to teach science, design & technology, creative arts and IT. The development will also fund additional improvements to the sports fields along with new changing facilities.The contract, the first Jarvis has undertaken for this client, entails erecting the properties using traditional materials with brick, render or plank facades and pitched tiled roofs with interlocking concrete profiled tiles. 2 blocks of stand-alone apartments complete this major contract.
Currently on site this 5 phased development is due to be completed in the summer of 2018.
