This project, carried out at London Luton Airport, comprised the demolition of a redundant hangar and the remodelling of an existing building to provide new ground support facilities and additional aircraft stands. The NEC contract, undertaken for Signature Flight Support, also provided them with apron space for their new Boeing 767 aircraft.
Signature Flight Support helps the business and general aviation communities take to the skies. The company, one of the world’s largest providers of fixed-base operations (FBO) services, offers a full-slate of support, from fuelling and ground handling to hangar and office rentals, and maintenance. Undertaken on a tight 16-week programme, Signature awarded the project to Jarvis following a competitive tendering and vetting process.
All Jarvis site based staff had to be security checked because they would be working ‘airside’ in sensitive areas of the airport.
