Nestled within the Bennetts End area of Hemel
Hempstead, this scheme received financial support
from Dacorum Borough Council to build and has
helped to increase the amount of housing in the area
by the development of a disused garage site.
The 2 new residential blocks provide 11no, 1 and 2 bed
flats, all for affordable rent (which is at 80% of market
rent) and were let to applicants on the Dacorum
Housing waiting list through Watford Community
Both blocks have been traditionally built and have
Velux windows, large GRP flat roof dormers, and
Orange Oakmore bricks incorporating snapped header
brickwork detailing between the windows and clay
roof tiles. Internally, generous storage space, white oak
doors and vinyl flooring has been provided throughout.
The larger block A, overlooks the neighbouring parkland,
with private patio areas to the 3 ground floor units.
External landscaping includes 16 car parking bays,
cycle shed and bin store, with a designated route
through the site to access ‘The Beer Garden’ public
parkland at the rear of the development.
