Longcroft, featured above, was one of 11 sites forming phase 3 and 4 works for Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust (VAHT) comprising the development of former garage sites. This design and build project entailed 5no 2 bed houses, 4no 2 bed apartments, 6no 1 bed apartments and 2no 1 bed bungalows.
Prior to construction, Jarvis assisted the client in holding a serious of ‘Meet the Developer’ meetings with the local neighbourhood so that they could hear what was proposed and to allow them to express any concerns that they may have with the scheme.
Drawing on the experience gained from constructing phase one and three, the same design team was engaged to undertake this attractive scheme with further value engineering undertaken before finalising the specification.
By maintaining the same build team throughout the phases, there were 3 in total, provided the client with the certainty of quality, performance and cost. The dwellings were constructed using timber frame with a masonry and cladding façade, pitched tiled roof and UPVC double glazed windows. Gas fired central heating systems were designed and installed by Jarvis Electrical and the buildings were constructed to meet Code 4 for sustainable homes
