This new rural development of 17 homes, was built on the site of a former equestrian centre and carefully designed to complement the local environment in a leafy suburb. The site was particularly sensitive, being located close to the Grade II* listed Tithe Barn and Grade II listed Mansion House farm, which required extensive liaison with the client, consultant team and local authority, to create a suitable proposal.
The homes are spread across 5 blocks and set over 2 and 3 storeys, consisting of 15 houses and 2 maisonettes. This was our first project with Thrive Homes and the 12 shared ownership properties were sold after just 2 open days, much to the delight of our client.
This courtyard scheme was traditionally built using red multi-stock brickwork and dark red concrete roof tiles to match the neighbouring buildings, with complimentary black UPVC fascias, soffits and rainwater goods, and dark brown double-glazed windows and patio doors.
